There have been a few updates to the Status Page which is offered to clients, notably the following:
- New design
- New web address! d19hosting.instatus.com
- Clients will be added to the notifications list for service outages and major maintenance windows in order to allow effective communication during any outages
Design changes
I have modified the design of the Status Page I offer for transparency with clients like you. The design is a little more mobile-friendly and less overwhelming looking. It is streamlined better than it was previously. There is also a new web address for it! d19hosting.instatus.com is the new URL. Please bookmark that page as needed. Although that won’t be necessary if the notifications are enabled, which brings me to the next change…
Notifications
In order to ensure that clients receive the latest updates to outages / services / maintenance windows and more with regards to the hosting services I provide, I will be adding in any alternative email addresses for my clients to the Status Page provider known as Instatus. If a user does not wish to subscribe to receiving notifications of service updates, they may ignore the email confirmation that will eventually be sent once added to the system. The email address will be removed from the system once ignored for a period of time. For users that want to ensure they’re kept up-to-date on any outages, major maintenance windows, etc. then please tap the link in the confirmation email sent to you via Instatus to confirm your subscription to the notification function.
As always, if there are any concerns or questions on the Status Page or anything else, do not hesitate to reach out.
For more information on the Status Page function, please review the earlier blog post.
